" I bought this as a 2nd monitor for my 22" samsung. I mainly use the new monitor for my internet searches when doing homework or to watch TV on through my tuner card.

"I have been very pleased with my purchase, it works well for my gaming needs, general computing needs, and my image editing needs. For the price you cant beat it.

I had to go to IE to submit my review because there was no way to select the overall rating while in firefox, there was just nothing on that line. Never had an issue like this before.

"This is a budget monitor, the quality is not bad at all.
I use two monitors at work, a 30" Dell and a 20" Dell for programming. I usually put Visual Studio on the 30" one and browse web page on the 20". I personally think 30" is too big, may be 26" is the maximum I would want for the primary one, and 22" for the secondary monitor.
So this one would be my secondary monitor, I am waiting for a price drop to get a 26" later. If you are a programmer like me, you definitely need two monitors versus bigger monitor.

"I'm using VGA because my laptop only supports VGA-out. I swapped the ASUS-supplied VGA cable with a thicker cable and the difference is noticeable. No flickering. DO NOT USE THE SUPPLIED CABLES!

"Beautiful glossy-framed monitor. I didn't hook up the built-in speakers since that computer is generally used after children are in bed (gaming rig), so I can't speak of the quality of the sound.
